I've added this section to the Bass book recently.
A friend of mine is a professional psychologist, and I approached her with some ideas that I thought might accelerate learning. I'd done quite a bit of research on the subject (I've always been interested in human potential-I used most of these myself when I was learning) in the past, but it was exciting to get her concrete answers on the subject.
So far, there are seven exercises that have been ok'd. A few others were a little flippant, so we got rid of them. Seven exercises that aren't conventional in the sense of learning an instrument. Some people will do them naturally, as instinct, but others won't be aware. Those people that are interested in how the brain learns, and what tools we have to support this process will definatly be aware.
